The kittens' eyes were already open, but they were too young to eat solid food. They were probably between 1 and 2 weeks old. They still had to be fed formula.
Since it was the summer vacation (April and May in the Philippines), Ken took care of the kittens himself, bottle-feeding them around the clock. Nobody bottle-fed the three kittens except Ken.
The kittens will be available for adoption as soon as they are vaccinated.
Shelby used up one of her nine lives when she almost died due to heat stroke. After a long hot day she became weak and unresponsive one night. At this point we didn't know what was wrong with her. The veterinary clinic had closed 5 hours ago. After much deliberation, we put her in an air-conditioned room, the exact opposite of what you are supposed to do with a small kitten (keep her warm). She made a miraculous recovery overnight, and was prancing around the next morning. We kept the AC humming around the clock for the next two weeks.
