Professor was rescued on Valentine's Day, 2016, from the street right outside the shelter. He was emaciated, covered in fleas, and afflicted by both mange and ehrlicchiosis. His abscess eventually burst resulting in open sores.
Somehow, Professor survived. As of April, 2016, he is fighting an ehrlicchiosis relapse, and a fungal skin infection. However, his overall health and appearance are much improved, and hopefully he will be ready for adoption soon.
