Lola came to the shelter from the City Pound. She had what looked like cataracts - blurry spots on her eyes - so we assumed she was old, and named her "Lola" which means "grandmother" in Filipino.
It turns out, Lola was one month pregnant when she came to the shelter, and she gave birth to six beautiful puppies just short of 30 days after arriving.
Lola is a CDV (Canine Distemper Virus) survivor, and we were worried that the puppies might have CDV as well. But all six survived and thrived.
Lola is a little scared of humans, but craves attention. The blurry spots on her eyes are gone and she is now healthy, happy, and ready to move into a good home.
