we've only sent dogs to the groomer's a handful of times, but on two occasions there has been a problem. one time a dog came back crawling with ticks. this time, professor seems to have caught a fungal infection. as far as we can tell, none of the salons disinfect the holding cages, workspaces, or instruments between clients

we won't be sending a dog to any salon ever again. instead, we'll be investing in grooming shears. they cost a lot, but so do trips to the salon, and it will work out cheaper after about 15 sessions. the only problem is that none of us is a trained beautician, so the dogs are probably going to end up looking like freshly shorn sheep
