gazelle is finally back to normal. she's back to sharing the shelter driveway with professor, greeting visitors with a smile and a tail-wag

it was a regular spay that became irregular really fast. all in all she went through three restitchings, each one more extensive and expensive than the last

gazelle was a trooper throughout. we learned what an amazing dog she is. we also learned a lot more about wound management. in particular, it was good to add culture sensitivity testing to our arsenal of weapons

knowing what we know now, would we still have had her spayed back in july? of course. the benefits of spaying outweigh even the most arduous post-op recovery
